La recerca en el camp de les urgències hospitalàries i les emergències prehospitalàries té un gran impacte en la millora de la atenció de la patologia aguda i en la supervivència. Aquest grup té línies consolidades de recerca en el camp de l’estudi d’estratègies de millora de la supervivència de la mort sobtada, en el camp de la preparació per a noves crisis pandèmiques i en l’estudi d’estratègies de millora en la atenció prehospitalària de patologies temps-depenents com l’ictus, la patologia coronaria aguda o la patologia traumàtica.
